Having a cohesive design for your brand hinges on utilizing a set of colors crafted solely for your business.
Here is our process for creating a beautiful color palette in five simple steps:
1.) Define your purpose: Consider the context in which your color palette will be used. Is it for a website, a logo, a painting, or something else? What emotions or moods do you want your color palette to evoke? Knowing your purpose will help you choose colors that are appropriate and effective.
2.) Choose a dominant color: Select one color that will be the main color in your palette. This will be the color that stands out the most and sets the tone for your palette. Consider using a color wheel to find complementary or analogous colors that will work well with your dominant color.
3.) Choose supporting colors: Once you have your dominant color, choose two or three supporting colors that will complement and balance it. You can use different shades and tints of these colors to create depth and contrast.
4.) Consider color psychology: Certain colors are associated with specific emotions and moods. For example, blue is often associated with calmness and trust, while red can evoke passion and excitement. Think about the emotions you want your color palette to evoke and choose colors accordingly.
5.) Test your color palette: Once you have a few colors in mind, test them out together to see how they look. You can use an online color palette generator to see how your colors work together or create a mockup of your design to get a better sense of how the colors will look in context.
